Pertamina Lowers Pertamax, Dex Fuel Prices

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned gas and oil company Pertamina announced it has lowered fuel prices of Pertamax and Dex variants, viz. Pertamax, Pertamax Turbo, Pertamina Dex, and Dexlite, starting January 5, 2020.
The price reduction was applied following the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministerial Decree on the basic formula of the retail sale prices of gasoline and solar.
The corporate spokesperson Fajriyah Usman said the new prices would take effect per Sunday, January 5, at 12 a.m.
“The fuel price adjustment is the corporate’s action based on the government’s provision. We have coordinated with related parties and ensured the service will run well, especially for loyal customers of Pertamina’s top products,” said Fajriyah in a statement on Sunday.
According to Fajriyah, the prices will be different, depending on the motor vehicle fuel tax (PBBKB) in each region.
For Jakarta, Pertamax price is dropped to Rp9,200 per liter from initially Rp9,850 per liter, while Pertamax Turbo to be Rp9,900 per liter from Rp11,200 per liter.
Meanwhile, the fuel price of Pertamina Dex will be Rp10,200 per liter from Rp11,700, and Dexlite to Rp9,500 per liter, from Rp10,200 per liter.
