Marijuana Found During Flood, Police Suspects Multiple Sellers

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Officers of the Depok Metro Resort Police continues to investigate the recent discovery of dozens of kilogram of marijuana packages during the recent flood. Chief of Depok Metro Resort Police Sr. Comr. Azis Andriansyah, said that there are more than one suspects at work in selling the marijuana.
Previously, residents of Gang Bungur in Sawangan District was shocked with the discovery of dozens of kilograms of marijuana when they were cleaning the remainings of flood on Thursday, January 2, 2020.
It was later known that the Marijuana belonged to Sadan, a new resident who had only been living in the area for two months.
"According to the suspect's confession, the goods was initially 53 kilograms, but we only found 51 kilograms, the two kilograms has been moved. We are investigating," Azis said on Saturday, January4, 2020.
Azis suspected that there is another seller who receives the goods in smaller numbers from the suspect. "There is another seller, but in small amount," Azis said.
In relation to how the suspect obtained the goods, Azis explained that the suspect communicated with one of the inmates in Cipinang penitentiary, and received the goods directly from Sumatera.
"We will track down [the source], at least we will communicate with the upper unit [Metro Jaya Police] to coordinate further about the case," Azis said.
