TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State toll road operator Jasa Marga records several inundation spots in a number of areas at the Jabodetabekjabar toll, following heavy rain earlier this morning, January 2.

About 40-50 cm high water floods Jakarta-Tangerang toll at KM 03+900 and KM 04+400 in both directions, said Dwimawan Heru, company's corporate communication & community development group head.

"Jasa Marga also calls on the road users to not entering the toll road areas," Dwimawan said in a press release on Thursday, January 2, 2020.

He continues that both directions; either from Jakarta Inner Ring Road (Tomang Interchange) heading to Tangerang or vice versa, are closed temporarily. The vehicles are diverted to Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR); either JORR W1 heading to the airport or JORR W2 to Jakarta.

Meanwhile at Jakarta Inner Ring Road-Cawang Interchange toll, inundation emerges in the Cawang tunnel heading to the Jagorawi toll. Vehicles coming from Cawang are diverted to Tanjung Priok

Flood also inundates the Cawang tunnel in Cawang Interchange heading to Tanjung Priok (Wiyoto Wiyono toll). Traffic from Bekasi to Tanjung Priok is directed to go to Jakarta Inner Ring Road.

"Jasa Marga apologizes for the inconvenience regarding this issue," he said.
