Ahmad Dhani Plans to Meet with Prabowo Subianto Soon

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Musician Ahmad Dhani planned to meet with Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto soon after he is released today, December 31, from Cipinang Prison, East Jakarta, said colleague Lieus Sungkharisma.
According to Lieus, Dhani will pay a visit to the Gerindra party chairman in early January 2020. “We will go to where Pak Prabowo goes,” he said before Dhani’s studio Republic Cinta Management (RCM) in Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta, Monday, December 30.
Lieus opined the meeting was aimed at reporting Dhani’s release that was also attributable to Prabowo.
“We used to back Pak Prabowo, and [Dhani] ended in prison. By the time he is freed, we must make a report. Moreover, the release is also thanks to the help of Pak Prabowo,” Lieus said.
When asked about politics, Dhani said he was exposed to updated information on political developments during his colleagues’ visit, namely Fadli Zon and Lieus. Dhani said he would observe the current situation to create his critical thinking.
“That depends on how I observe future geopolitics,” Dhani said.
Ahmad Dhani is released today, December 30, after serving 11 months' imprisonment in a hate speech case.
