Election; Prabowo Subianto Offers Advices to Jokowi's Son-in-Law

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The deputy head of the Gerindra Party, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, said Prabowo Subianto offered two suggestions to Bobby Nasution and Siti Nur Azizah. The party's chief patron met with President Joko Widodo or Jokowi’s son-in-law and VP Ma'ruf Amin’s daughter on Saturday, December 28.
“First, [Prabowo told them] to communicate with all political parties in their respective areas to muster as much as possible support. Second, if they want to go for the regional election, they must win,” said Dasco at the Parliament Complex, Monday, December 30.
He said Gerindra would officially tap names of candidates for the upcoming regional head elections at the end of January 2020 then issue recommendations gradually.
According to Dasco, Gerindra will possibly place its cadres as candidates of regional heads or deputy heads. “We prioritize cadres running for the 2020 Regional Head Elections,” he added.
Dasco mentioned that the meeting of Prabowo and Bobby and Nur Azizah in Kertanegara, South Jakarta, was a mere political meeting as it was aimed at soliciting Prabowo Subianto’s support.
