Jokowi's Son In-Law Visits Prabowo to Ask for Support in Election

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi) son-in-law, Bobby Nasution, and daughter of Ma'ruf Amin, Siti Azizah, visited Gerindra Party Chairman Prabowo Subianto in Kertanegara, South Jakarta, on Saturday, Dec. 28.
The two will join in next year's regional election (Pilkada 2020). Bobby will go for the Medan Mayor election, while Azizah will go for Tangerang Selatan Mayor's contestation.
Gerindra deputy chairman Sufmi Dasco Ahmad said that Bobby and Azizah's visit was aimed at asking for Prabowo's support. "But Gerindra will make the decision on their candidate for the regional election by the end of January," he said.
Thus far, Dasco went on, Bobby Nasution and Azizah are the first external candidates who visited Prabowo for support.
Regional Election 2020 will be held in 270 regions in Indonesia; comprising 9 provinces, 224 districts, and 37 cities. In addition to Bobby and Azizah, President Jokowi's first son, Gibran Rakabuming or Raka will also join in Solo Mayor contestation.
