Car Crashes into 7 Cyclists in Sudirman

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A mini MPV driver crashed into seven cyclists in front of a Summitmas building at Jenderal Sudirman Street, South Jakarta.
Jakarta Metro Police's traffic official Fahri Siregar said the crash happened this morning, Saturday, December 28 at 06:10.
“It is expected (the suspect was) inside a Toyota's New Avanza driven by a male with initials TP, he's a civil servant,” the police said in a written statement.
Fahri explained that TP was coming from the north to the south direction of Jalan Jenderal Sudirman and allegedly, due to TP's carelessness, the car hit a group of cyclists when he passed in front of Summitmas building. "As a result, 7 cyclists sustain injuries and were taken to the hospital."
According to the police, the car was damaged on the bumper and front bender hood, its windshield was also broken. Meanwhile, six of the seven bicycles were destroyed.
The police secured TP's driver's license, vehicle registration and the car, as well as the 7 bikes for further examination.
