KPK Spokesman Calls for Replacement to Serve Transparency

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) spokesman Febri Diansyah said that he whole-heartedly accepts if the new anti-graft watchdog chairman Firli Bahuri appoints another person to replace him.
However, he openly reminded anyone that replaces him must maintain and put forth full public information disclosure.
“I am convinced enough that it is not based on personal consideration, but there might be consideration of organizational needs in mind,” he said in a written statement on Monday.
Febri hoped the new spokesman will be able to bridge information and, at the same time, become KPK’s means of accountability for the people through journalists. He asserts that full information disclosure is part of how KPK opens itself to be monitored.
Febri Diansyah carried out the task as KPK spokesman and head of the organization’s public relations bureau since December 2016.
