TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The deliberation of the XXI Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) national meeting (Munas) officially appoints former Vice President Jusuf Kalla as its Chairman for the 2019-2024 term.
“Every participant accepted the previous chairman’s accountability report from 2014 to 2019 and has determined to appoint Jusuf Kalla as the next term’s PMI Chairman,” said the meeting’s leader, Sumarsono, on Monday, December 16.
Jusuf Kalla’s appointment gives him the prerogative right to form the structure of the 2019-2024 Indonesian Red Cross.
In his speech, Jusuf Kalla expressed gratitude to the national meeting’s participants who once again trusted the upcoming PMI leadership to him.
The former two-term vice president also said that the inputs and suggestions produced by the meeting from the entire Indonesian Red Cross management will be included in his work program.
“The participants’ suggestions are surely crucial and will be considered based on the views of every PMI management in the provincial, city, or district levels,” said Jusuf Kalla in his speech.
