Police Shot Pakistan Drug Dealer in Mangga Dua

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Police has shot dead a suspected heroin drug dealer on Wednesday evening, December 11, 2019. Further examination revealed that the suspect is a Pakistan citizen.
"The network is cross-country, Pakistan-Indonesia," said Chief of Public Relation Division of the Metro Jaya Police Senior Commissioner Yusri Yunus at the Metro Jaya Regional Police Headquarter on Thursday, December 12, 2019.
Yusri explained that the suspect, identified as SH was initially arrested in at Mangga Dua Square area, Gunung Sahari Street, North Jakarta on Wednesday evening. During the arrest, the Police confiscated five kilograms of high grade heroin.
It was later discovered that the suspect has more narcotics stashed around the vicinity of Mangga Dua Square. The Police later ordered him to reveal the location of the storage. However, the suspect attempted to escape as they travel to the location.
"The suspect attempted to steal the weapon of an officer. With measured steps according to the standard operation procedure, the suspect was incapacitated with gunshot," Yusri explained.
SH was then rushed to a hospital but later died. His body is currently being stored at the Kramatjati Hospital in East Jakarta.
Yusri said that the heroin was procured from another foreigner, and was a high grade narcotic that can only be purchased by the middle-upper class. The Police are currently investigating SH's network and are hunting for the main dealer.
