Jokowi Promises New Findings in Novel Baswedan's Attack

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo assured that new findings in Novel Baswedan's acid attack investigation will be announced by the Indonesian National Police (Polri) technical team in the near future.
According to President Jokowi, the announcement will not take months. "When I say it will be soon, it means that will be in a matter of days," said Jokowi on Tuesday, December 10, 2019.
The President released the information after receiving a debrief from Indonesian National Police Chief General Idham Azis on Monday, December 9, 2019, at the Merdeka Palace.
A technical team specially appointed to handle Novel Baswedan's case was formed in the middle of 2019 as a direct recommendation from Polri. President Jokowi established a deadline for the completion of the investigation into Novel Baswedan's acid attack until December 2019.
National Police's Inspector General Muhammad Iqbal provide similar statement saying that new findings will be announced soon after accompanying Idham in the meeting with President Jokowi on Monday.
