BRIN Warns Researchers to not be Selfish

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Research and Technology Minister and Head of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), Bambang Brodjonegoro, said that the agency is also tasked in urging researchers to collaborate with each other.
“BRIN is also tasked to conduct integrated research, development programs, studies, and implementation. One main element of integration is that researchers must never be selfish,” said Bambang in Central Jakarta on Tuesday, December 3.
In short, Bambang said, BRIN will oversee each and every research agency’s planning, programs, budgeting, monitoring, evaluation, and infrastructure sharing.
The reasoning behind this is to optimize the partnership between ongoing research that has public interest. In order to reach such collaboration, he declared his plans to improve Indonesia’s manpower to elevate the country’s competitiveness in terms of economic development based on science and technology.
