Police Question Medan Court Chief over Judge Jamaluddin's Death

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Medan City Police yesterday questioned Sutio Jumagi Akhirno, the head of Medan District Court, regarding the case of Judge Jamaluddin's death.
"Yesterday, the chief was asked for statements," Medan State Court's PR officer Erintuah Damanik told Antara, Tuesday 3 December.
Erintuah said that as of today, seven Medan District Court staff have also been questioned by the police. Among them are Judges Morgan and Dominggus, Larasati's clerk staff, "and myself," he said.
Judge Jamaluddin was found dead on the backseat of a car in a cliff in Suka Dame Village, Deli Serdang Regency, on Friday afternoon last week.
Jamaluddin was a judge as well as public relations staff of the Medan District Court.
North Sumatra Police chief, Insp. Gen. Pol. Agus Andrianto, said the police strongly suspect that Jamaluddin was murdered.
