Monas Explosion Confirmed by Jakarta Military Command

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Spokesman for the Jakarta military command (Kodam Jaya) Lieutenant Colonel Czi Zulhandrie S. Mara confirmed that there was indeed an explosion at Jakarta’s National Monument (Monas) area on Tuesday, December 3. 

“Yes, everyone’s investigating it. Police personnel is also into it,” Zulhandrie confirmed to Tempo this morning. 

However, Zulhandrie was tight-lipped in providing a detailed answer regarding the explosion and asserts that the incident is still “under investigation.” 

Based on the images that have spread, one adult male could be seen lying on the ground with multiple injuries to his body.
