TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo has entrusted his seven millennial staffers with special tasks, namely to draft the concept of the pre-employment card and to instill the national ideology Pancasila.
“[The President] only issued two collective tasks this week,” said one of the staffers Aminuddin Ma’ruf at his office, Wednesday, November 28.
Aminuddin said his side had held a meeting with Denni Purbasari, one of the presidential staff office deputies, regarding the pre-employment card last Friday. “We are asked for innovative ideas and creativity in preparing the program because this is the president’s priority,” said the former head of the Indonesian Islamic Students Movement (PMII).
He went on to say that the government wanted them to instill Pancasila to Indonesian children. “As in the demographic map, the target of the program is young people as the majority. So if the approach method and the model are not changed, it will not be effective,” Aminuddin added.
According to him, the special staffers have the authority to provide innovative inputs or ideas to support the program, but they would not join to execute the program.
“Our forum cannot take any decision,” he remarked.
As widely known, apart from Aminuddin, the other Jokowi’s special staffers from millennials are Putri Indahsari Tanjung, Adamas Belva Devara, Andi Taufan Garuda, Gracia Billy Mambrasar, Ayu Kartika Dewi, and Angkie Yudistia.
