TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - In his visit to Bali's Port of Benoa on Thursday, November 28, 2019, State-owned Enterprise Minister Erick Thohir announced his plan to revamp the Benoa Port into a world-class integrated tourist area.
"The port of Benoa must be a one-stop area that is equipped with numerous facilities in the form of art and culture centers, culinary tourism, and SMEs trade hub," Erick said.
However, in order to do so, he called for a partnership between regional entrepreneurs and SMEs in Bali.
In preparing such a program, Erick Thohir asked Benoa Port operator company Pelindo III to study the possibility of organizing such a program through several polls on tourists that arrive in the area each year.
"I also ask the city forest zone, which is under construction, to be completed as soon as possible so tourists can enjoy the region’s ecotourism," said Erick Thohir who was accompanied by Bali Governor I Wayan Koster and officials from Pelindo III during his visit.
