TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Pertamina president director Nicke Widyawati said that a meeting with the company's chief commissioner Basuki Tjahja Purnama, also known as Ahok, will be held next week.
After meeting with West Java Governor M. Ridwan Kamil on Wednesday, November 27, Nicke said that she had not held a meeting with the new chief commissioner yet.
SOE Minister Erick Thohir officially appointed Basuki as chief commissioner of Pertamina. On Friday, November 23, Erick told reporters about the decision after a 10-minute private conversation with President Joko Widodo at the palace veranda.
"Ahok will be accompanied by Budi Sadikin as deputy commissioner. [Pertamina] will also have a new financial director, Mrs. Emma (Emma Sri Martini), who was CEO at Telkomsel," Erick said.
According to Erick, all SOEs' directors or commissioners are not allowed to be affiliated with political parties.
"Certainly, all commissioners of SOEs—especially directors, must withdraw from the party, that's clear," said Erick.
