Named as Pertamina Chief Commissioner, Ahok Says No Inauguration

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned enterprises Minister Erick Thohir plans to officially name Basuki Tjahaja Purnama as Pertamina Chief Commissioner on Monday, November 25. Responding to the matter, Basuki, or usually called as Ahok, says that there will likely be no official inauguration.
"I don't think inauguration will take place," Basuki told Tempo Saturday, Nov. 23. He did not elaborate on the reason for the absence of the ceremonial event.
Previously, SOE special staff of communication Arya Sinulingga said that the inauguration of Basuki Tjahaja Purnama and his deputy Gunadi Sadikin will be held during the general meeting of shareholders (RUPS).
The former Jakarta Governor does not say much regarding his task following his appointment as Pertamina Chief Commissioner.
Minister Erick Thohir has officially announced Basuki's appointment as Pertamina Chief Commissioner on Friday, Nov. 22.
