Police Crime Lab Investigates Fire at Bekasi School

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Police are conducting a forensic investigation at Yadika 6 High School in Bekasi. On Monday, the school building caught fire, injuring dozens of students.
"We will wait for results from the crime lab," forensic chief Comr. Karya Wijayadi said on Wednesday, November 20.
After two hours of forensic investigation at the scene, the police took pieces of evidence to be examined in the laboratory.
On Monday afternoon, fire broke at the school's ground floor and spread to the entire building. When the fire broke out, some students were still studying on the third and fourth floors.
The fire caused panic and students ran for safety. Dozens were reported to have suffered injuries, and two students had bone fractures after jumping from the third floor window.
The school is still closed for now, but the faculty plans to resume learning activities on Friday this week.
