Grabwheels Accident: Police Examine Witnesses

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Investigators of the Metro Jaya Police Traffic Directorate had examined seven witnesses of the accident involving a car driven by an individual identified as DH, and six Grabwheels electric scooter users. The accident, which occurred on the early hours of Sunday, November 10, 2019, killed two of the Grabwheels users.
"We gather the witnesses first, there are seven witnesses," said Police Commander Fahri Siregar, Chief of the Law Enforcement and Development Sub-Directorate of the Metro Jaya Police Traffic Directorate on Friday, November 15, 2019.
Fahri explained that one of the witnesses that have provided a testimony is the security guard located close to the accident site. Another witness who have provided a testimony is the passenger of the car that was driver by DH, identified as L.
In relation to the accident, the investigators have named DH as suspect. From the initial examination, DH was declared guilty for driving under the influence of alcohol.
However, the Police is yet to apprehend DH based on the consideration that DH will not attempt to escape and will not destroy evidence.
Two of the Grabwheels electric scooter users who died were identified as Ammar (18 years-old) and Wisnu (18 years-old). Another victim, Fajar, survived the accident.
Ammar and WIsnu died after they were brought to the hospital and while waiting for the family's approval for surgery.
