TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Sriwijaya Air Group reshuffled its boards of directors at the end of the transition period of its partnership with Garuda Indonesia and decided to continue its business independently.
Referring to a decree inked by group shareholder Hendry Lie in Jakarta, Sriwijaya appointed Jefferson Irwin Jauwena as the president director, Didi Iswandy as director of operations, Cecep Cahyana as director of quality, safety, and security, as well as Dwi Iswantoro as technical director as of November 7, 2019.
"This decree takes effect since the date of the signing, with notes that necessary matters which have not been regulated yet in this decree will be decided later. If there is a mistake about the stipulations and contents of this decree, changes will be made as needed," said Hendry Lie in a written statement, Friday, November 8.
Sriwijaya also decided to return 11 staffers of Garuda Indonesia since the partnership period ended on October 31, 2019.
"With regards to the end of the transition period pertaining to the partnership between Garuda Indonesia Group and shareholders of Sriwijaya Air Group on October 31, 2019, and under the considerations of the shareholders and the board of commissioners of Sriwijaya, the management decided to return all assistant employees [of Garuda]," as noted in the letter No. 018/EXT/DH/SJ/XI/2019 signed by Sriwijaya's director of legal and human resources, Anthony Ralmond Tampubolon.
