DPRD Passes Jakarta Governor's Rp2.4 Bln House Restoration Plan

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Council (DPRD) Commission D and the city’s Land and Spatial Planning department agreed to pass the Rp2.4 billion budget used to restore the governor’s official residence.
Members of the Council passed the budget to the 2020 temporary budget plan without any significant arguments.
“So, the Rp2.4 billion budget is agreed then,” said Commission B head, Ida Mahmudah in the meeting on the city’s 2020 budget plan on Wednesday.
Prior to striking the gavel, Ida asked about the budget and the people’s response to it. “This was what got people going.”
Responding to the remark, head of Land and Spatial Planning department, Heru Hermawanto said the governor’s official government house rehabilitation was already planned in the distant past and that it was rejected by three Jakarta budget meetings in the past.
“This has been postponed three times, the plans were made long ago,” he said.
