TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Telekomunikasi Selular or Telkomsel officially issued an apology due to internet connection problems affecting its users today.
The connection issue has affected the quality of internet services which effectively slowed down the connection. However, voice message service and short message services (SMS) remains unaffected by this technical issue.
Telkomsel GM External Corporate Communications, Aldin Hasyim, assures that the company is constantly attempting to re-establish the normal connection.
“We apologize for the inconvenience,” said Aldin in a press release on Tuesday, November 5.
Telkomsel users as of September 2019 consist of 170.9 million users with 65.6 percent (112.1 million) registered as active internet users with data traffic in 2019’s third quarter amounting to 4,673 petabytes.
