TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo assured that there will be yet another State Minister from Papua included in his second Cabinet members. He mentioned this during a visit to a Papuan primary school.
“I confirm that there will be one[s],” said the President at the Merdeka Palace on Friday, October 11. The statement was followed by enthusiastic applause from the students.
However, Widodo was not keen to reveal the exact number of State Official positions that will be filled by people from Papua.
He also revealed that the list for his second term State Officials is already completed, even though he maintained that changes could still happen before the list is made official.
During Joko Widodo’s first term as president, Papuan state ministers include Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Minister Yohana Yembise and presidential special staff member, Lenis Kogoya.
The President said that he planned to reveal his second-term Cabinet state ministers after his inauguration or one day after.
