TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Darmin Nasution, said that the National Strategic Project (PSN) has a total investment value of Rp4,183 trillion. The PSN comprises of 223 projects, in accordance with the 2015-2019 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN), and three programs.

Darmin said that from the 223 projects, the government had set 37 priority ones with a total investment value of over Rp2,500 trillion. The implementation of those projects will be monitored by the Committee for the Acceleration of Priority Infrastructure Provision (KPPIP).

The minister said that to encourage infrastructure development, the government needs financing support from various parties, especially the private sector. Therefore, the government plans to make various policies covering fiscal, institutional and regulatory aspects.

"The tax holiday, which was formulated some time long ago, is also something that is urgent for infrastructure," Darmin said in Jakarta, Wednesday, October 2.

Meanwhile, the ministry's deputy for infrastructure acceleration and regional development coordination, Wahyu Utomo, said that as of September 2019 there were 81 National Strategic Projects that had been completed and were operating. These projects have a total value of Rp390 trillion.
