TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan rides on his bicycle to House of Representatives (DPR) building this afternoon to attend the Commission II's meeting regarding the capital city relocation.
"I'm going to go to DPR to attend a meeting on capital relocation," Anies said at the City Hall, Central Jakarta, September 25.
Accompanied by his aides, Anies rides his bicycle to parliament complex in Senayan from Jalan Merdeka Selatan, passing by Thamrin and Sudirman.
Besides Jakarta Governor, attending the meeting include Finance Minister, National Development Planning chairman, as well as Public Housing and Public Works Minister.
President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo has previously announced East Kalimantan would be the future capital city, replacing Jakarta.
Jokowi affirms the capital relocation plan would not stop Jakarta'a urban regeneration program which is spent Rp517 trillion from the state budget, regional budget, investment, and partnership.
Governor Anies says the urban regeneration includes transportation, expansion of MRT, LRT, bus, and microbus, and not to forget issues on housing, clean water access, and waste management.
