  • TEMPO.CO, Bogor - President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has received the visit of a foreign relations adviser of China's President, Song Tao, in Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java, Friday, September 20.

“Your Excellency, welcome [to Indonesia], and I am pleased to have met you in 2016,” Widodo said.

Tao also conveyed his pleasure for another meeting with Widodo after the last visit three years ago. Tao came to Indonesia and met the Indonesian president in April 2016 when he was the Chinese Communist Party's Minister of International Relations.

During the meeting, Tao congratulated Widodo on his reelection.

He believed and wished Indonesia for further advancement and development under the government of Jokowi. Since the last three years, Tao added, the country’s economy has been well improved.

“All achievement and advancement reached by Indonesia are attributable to the leadership of Your Excellency, Mr. President,” Tao said.

Song Tao was also informed that Trans Java toll has nearly met for completion. “As a good friend, I am happy for Indonesia.”
