TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The House of Representatives' (DPR) Commission IV has approved the state budget allocation for the Agriculture Ministry. The DPR agreed that the Ministry will get Rp21 trillion budget allocated in the 2020 State Budget.
Commission IV chairman Edhy Prabowo passed the budget proposal on Monday, September 9, during a meeting with his members in Jakarta.
Agriculture Minister Amran Sulaiman requested a budget of Rp21 trillion. The budget, Amran said, would be used for 11 echelon 1 programs in the Ministry of Agriculture.
Commission IV also approved the budget proposal for special allocated funds (DAK) in the agriculture sector, which amounts to Rp1.5 trillion, comprising of Rp384 billion budget for the provincial level and Rp1.1 trillion for regencies/cities.
The DPR also agreed to a Rp26.6 trillion fertilizer subsidy budget for a volume of 7.9 million tons.
