TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Personal assistant for Indonesia’s third President BJ Habibie, Rubijanto, denied the spread of information suggesting that Habibie had passed away.
Rubijanto explained that rumors of Habibie’s death spreading via Facebook and Whatsapp messenger are mainly just hoax information.
“This morning there were hoaxes about him. Habibie is in a controlled and safe situation. Thank you,” he said to journalists on Tuesday.
The latest information suggests that Habibie is currently under intensive care at the RSPAD hospital after he was first admitted to the hospital on Monday, September 2.
A representative of the Indonesian Presidential Palace announced yesterday that BJ Habibie’s condition has improved and that the information came directly from the team of doctors in charge of Habibie.
