Garuda Indonesia Surprises Passengers with Free Class Upgrade

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-run airliner Garuda Indonesia on the national customer day surprises two passengers by upgrading their economy seats of GA 830 to the business class for free.
Garuda CEO Ari Askhara said in the press release today, September 4, that his company maintains to serve its customers with the best experience. "It is one of the important parts in the business," he said.
Besides the free class upgrade, the state airliner also gives souvenirs to the passengers of GA 830 flight en routing Jakarta – Singapore at Terminal 3 of Soekarno Hatta International Airport.
Ari hopes the program could increase the company's value for the service users as Garuda is open for innovations to meet expectations and to consider inputs of its customers.
"The Customer Day is the right moment to directly extend the appreciation to the customers as well as to get new insights in improving company service," Ari said.
In the series of National Customer Day program, Garuda Indonesia has previously deployed the CEO to directly serve passengers at GA 714 (Denpasar – Sydney) and GA 715 (Sydney – Denpasar) during the flights.
Ari says it was the first time the program set for an international flight since the Denpasar-Sydney route is also favored by foreign tourists.
