TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The House of Representatives (DPR) has again summoned a number of officials to talk about the budget deficit of the Health Care and Social Security Agency, BPJS Kesehatan. The discussion is being held today, September 2.
DPR's Commission XI chairman Melchias Markus Mekeng told Tempo on Monday that the BPJS deficit will be discussed during a joint meeting between Commission IX and XI.
To the meeting, the DPR invited Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati, Deputy Finance Minister Mardiasmo, Health Minister Nila Moeloek, and Head of the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) Bambang Brodjonegoro.
Social Affairs Minister Agus Gumiwang, and BPJS Kesehatan president director Fachmi Idris are also called in.
This meeting is a follow-up to a previous one where Sri Mulyani proposed a solution to curb BPJS deficit.
At that time, Sri Mulyani proposed a premium hike for non-subsidized participants of the national healthcare (JKN) program administered by BPJS Kesehatan.
