TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Metro Bekasi Police Resort announced they are tracking down the woman who allegedly committed indecency by stripping off her clothes and was topless inside the Summarecon Mal Bekasi (SMB) on Saturday last week.

“We questioned the mall’s security personnel and we are also studying the CCTV footage,” said Bekasi Police Chief Indarto at the Metro Jaya Police headquarters on Friday, August 23.

According to Indarto, the search is mainly focusing on revealing the perpetrator’s intent behind the incident and revealing whether the act was driven by a mental disorder.

“As to whether she violated any law, we’ll see,” said Indarto.

According to the Head of Corporate & Brand Communications Summarecon Mal Bekasi, Cut Meutia, the incident happened on Saturday, August 17, but had only recently gone viral after the video was spread across social media platforms.

She recalled that testimonies suggested the woman wore normal and complete clothes as she first entered the mall, but suddenly undressed inside the mall and walked out at the Timesquare-The Downtown Walk lobby.

The mall's security personnel immediately approached the woman and directed her to another location while asking the topless woman to wear her shirt again. Security personnel were finally able to convince the woman to wear her clothes again and escorted her out of the mall.
