President Jokowi Supervises Independence Day Ceremony Preparation

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo, also known as Jokowi, today attends the practice session of the 74th Indonesian Independence Day ceremony.
Other than the president, other state officials present in the practice session is the Education and Culture Minister Muhadjir Effendy and the Jakarta Regional Representatives Council (DPD) speaker Oesman Sapta Odang.
The session has entered the last practice session involving the Indonesian National Police Chief General Tito Karnavian and Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI) Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto.
In the ceremony on Saturday, August 17, Muhadjir Effendy will take the role in leading the prayers of ceremony participants, meanwhile, Oesman Sapta Odang will bear the task to read the state-proclamation manuscript.
The 74th Indonesian Independence Day ceremony will also see aerial attraction from the Indonesian Air Force above the Jakarta airspace.
