TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Rector of the Kwik Kian Gie Informatics & Business Institute, Hisar Sirait, argues that the property and tourism resort investment by Donald Trump Jr. is a clear sign that the investment prospect and businesses in Indonesia will be profitable.
“This means that Donald Trump sees an investment and property business prospect in Indonesia that is profitable,” said Hisar Sirait in Jakarta yesterday.
Hisar maintains that this will present a positive sentiment for market practitioners since the move will spark capital flow, and in its short term, will be able to correct the country’s Rupiah exchange rate.
“The next is if he establishes a property there and international-standard resorts, it will become a bridge to rebrand Indonesia’s tourism. This will automatically attract international tourists,” said Hisar.
US President Donald Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr. is set to invest in Lido, Sukabumi, West Java, and Bali in the form of a Trump Residencies, an integrated ultra-luxurious resort.
