TEMPO.CO, JakartaCorporate Communications Strategic Lion Air Group Danang Mandala reiterated impacts of the temporary closure of Sultan Iskandar Muda Airport, Aceh, on the first day of Eid al-Adha or Idul Adha starting at 00:00 until 11:00 a.m.

“The impact will likely be felt by air passengers who are taking a connecting flight,” said Danang when met in the Transportation Ministry office, Thursday, August 8.

He explained that connecting flight passengers that will transit in Aceh must coordinate with the airliner to adjust the schedule to prevent late for boarding the next flight.

Danang ensured that the low-cost carrier will cater to passengers' willing to change their schedule in accordance with the existing regulation.

He also mentioned that passengers could request a refund if their flight is affected by the closure that was ordered by Aceh administration.

As for the impact on the airline operation, Danang said that his corporate is still analyzing the matter.

However, he underlined that Lion Air Group will respect and abide by the Aceh government regulation.
