TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Metro Jaya Police Head of Public Relations Comm. Gen. Argo Yuwono explained that his institution has received no criminal reports, nor did they receive traffic accident reports during the blackout that struck Jakarta on Sunday, August 4, 2019.
"We have yet to receive reports until this moment. Because every one of our personnel was all deployed on the streets during the blackout," said Argo in South Jakarta, Monday, August 5, 2019.
Police officers were also mobilized to secure several vital objects in the capital as the blackout occurred.
The blackout, Argo stated, disturbed the operations of numerous traffic lights up to Monday morning at 07:00 AM Western Indonesia Time (WIB), which was backed up by 363 police personnel to regulate traffic.
The power outage also affected the electronic ticketing system (ELTE) installed in major streets at Sudirman – Thamrin, which were inoperable for a short period of time on Sunday.
