Fire Razes 14 Cars in Ancol

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A fire occurred in the early hours of today, July 24, in the parking areas in front of a discotheque Hailai, Ancol, Pademangan, North Jakarta. The fire command center officer, Subadi, explained the fire burnt cars and a 375-meter-square site made from bamboo and plywood.
“A total of 14 cars are burnt down. The cause of the fire is allegedly short circuit in a car,” said Subadi in a phone call, Wednesday, July 24.
According to him, there was no casualty in the incident, yet the loss is predicted to reach Rp1 billion.
17 units of firetrucks and 90 officers were deployed. The fire had successfully been extinguished at 07:20 a.m.
