TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head of the Garuda Employee Union (Sekarga) Tomy Tampatty just announced that the union has revoked its police report against Youtube content creator and reviewers Rius Vernandes and Elwiyana Monica.
“Representing the Garuda employee’s union, we announce to the Indonesian public that we have reached a resolution that resolves the entire issue. We completely dropped the report filed against Rius,” said Tomy in the Garuda Indonesia mediation today, July 19, held at South Jakarta.
Tomy said that the agreement was able to be reached due to the "collective spirit to preserve and maintain" Garuda Indonesia as the nation’s asset.
He also stated that he will maintain the commitment and that the flag-carrier will continue to open up to future criticisms and inputs for the sake of business continuity.
According to Garuda Indonesia President Director Ari Askara, who was present in the mediation, the meeting between Rius and Sekarga (Garuda employee union) saw both parties agree to revoke the police report and agreed to not drag the issue any longer by reporting back Sekarga to the police.
The mediation was also witnessed by renowned Indonesian lawyer Hotman Paris.
