TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian National Police (Polri) Spokesman Brig. Gen. Dedi Prasetyo said the findings and report from the joint team tasked to investigate Novel Baswedan’s case will be followed-up by the police Criminal investigation Agency (Bareskrim).
“Bareskrim will hunt down the perpetrator,” said Dedi at the police headquarters on Monday evening.
The joint team is known as TGPF, which was personally formed by National Police Chief General Tito Karnavian to uncover the acid attack case against Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigator Novel Baswedan.
The team that consists of 65 members had officially concluded their investigation on July 9 after they were activated six months prior.
The TGPF joint team plans to hold a press conference on July 17 to present their findings in the field and numerous findings by expert members.
“The joint team would only present recommendations that are based on their investigation,” said Dedi Prasetyo.
As of today, police has yet named any individual as a suspect responsible for the attack that partially blinded Novel Baswedan.
