Jokowi, Prabowo Meet at MRT Lebak Bulus Station

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo or Jokowi has finally met his rival at recent presidential race Prabowo Subianto. The meeting was held at MRT Jakarta's Lebak Bulus Station on Saturday, July 13.
Dressed in casual outfits and sitting side by side on the MRT train, both conversed casually along the trip from Lebak Bulus to Senayan. The two leaders then had lunch at FX Mall Sudirman.
Based on Tempo's observation, other figures joining the meeting included Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Chief of Joko Widodo - Ma'ruf Amin campaign team Erick Thohir, and BIN Chief General Budi Gunawan, Gerindra secretary-general Ahmad Muzani, Gerindra deputy chairman Edhy Prabowo.
The urge for the meeting of both figures had been voiced since the elections commissions (KPU) announced the vote recapitulation of 2019 presidential election in May, that winning Joko Widodo - Ma'ruf Amin ticket with 85 million votes or 55.5 percent. Meanwhile, Prabowo Subianto - Sandiaga Uno ticket bagged 68 million votes or 44.5 percent.
Following the vote result, Prabowo - Sandiaga camp submitted a lawsuit to the Constitutional Court (MK). They suspected a structural systematic, and massive fraud during the establishment of the elections.
The MK's verdict, however, stated that Prabowo - Sandiaga camp could not prove the accusation which resulted in the official winning of Jokowi - Ma'ruf Amin in the 2019 presidential election.
