TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Former Jakarta deputy governor and vice presidential candidate Sandiaga Uno promised to continue the entrepreneurship programs which he promised in his election campaigns.
The programs are One Kecamatan One Center Entrepreneurship (OKE OCE) and Rumah Siap Kerja (ready for workhouse), which Sandiaga said will be spread across more areas in Indonesia. He also said that Prabowo Subianto had been notified about his plans.
“Even though I was not elected, our promise for the public will continue to live on,” said Sandiaga Uno yesterday at the public service mall in Jakarta. “I once mentioned that I intend to do something that has a direct effect on society.”
He also said that he will consider joining a political party, which many believe to be Gerindra even though no offer has been made by the party led by Prabowo.
Sandiaga Uno initially joined Gerindra in 2015 before resigning from his position at the political party in August of 2018 to run as a vice presidential candidate in the 2019 presidential election. He also left his position as Jakarta deputy governor, which he held for only 10 months, to run for the presidential election.
