TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Google Indonesia gave a surprise gift for a married couple who named their 6-month-old toddler Google in Bekasi City, West Java.
The gift by Google surprised the husband Andi Cahya Saputra (31) and Ella Karina (27) who live with two of their children at Rawalumbu, Bekasi City.
According to Ella, Google Indonesia sent them a gift on June 28. A representative of the internet giant also made a call to the couple who had a brief conversation and prayed for the well-being of their second child, Google.
“We really appreciate Google for sending us the gift, we really appreciate it and are really touched by it,” said Ella.
Their baby Google went viral several days ago after Ella uploaded her child’s birth certificate who was born in November.
According to the information they provided, Andi was the first to give the name and was initially protested by family members since it is considered an uncommon name for someone to have. However, Andi argued that he gave his baby that name in hopes of having Google be useful for many people in the future, similar to the internet search engine the baby was named after.
