TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Sandiaga Uno, the running-mate of Prabowo Subianto in 2019 presidential election, was evasive when asked about the planned meeting between Prabowo and president-elect Joko Widodo or Jokowi.
According to him, information about the meeting would directly come from Prabowo.
“I have talked to Prabowo yesterday, he said [news about the planned meeting] will come from him only,” said Sandiaga at the Jakarta Public Service Mall, Monday, July 1.
He asserted that Prabowo would manage the meeting that he expected to be silaturahmi or communal togetherness after the 2019 general elections.

On previous occasions, Sandiaga said that he would meet his political rival pair, Jokowi and Ma’ruf Amin, after the election ended. He and the Gerindra Party chair previously challenged the election results to Constitutional Court.
On Thursday, June 28, the court ruled that it rejected all claims by the Prabowo-Sandiaga that was followed by the determination of president and vice president-elect by the General Election Commission (KPU) on Sunday, June 30.
“Of course, after we have seen yesterday's announcement, we hope this silaturahmi can be reconnected. Silaturahmi (meeting) that the public has longed for can soon be realized,” Sandiaga Uno concluded.
