TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A tourism forum dubbed Jogja International Travel Mart (JITM) will be held on 1-4 of July this year at Royal Ambarukmo Hotel, Yogyakarta. The event will meet hundreds of tourism agencies with potential service users from abroad.
Tourism agencies, hotels, restaurants, tourist destinations, and other related parties in Yogyakarta and Central Java area will take part in the event organized by the city's Tourism Department, Association of the Indonesian Tours & Travel Agencies or ASITA, as well as Indonesian Association of Hotels & Restaurants (PHRI).
"We recorded that 120 buyers from abroad have registered to join the forum," JITM chairman Edwin Ismedi said on Friday, June 28. The buyers are, among others, from Malaysia, Ukraine, India, Prancis, Filipina, Singapore, Vietnam, Italy, United Arab Emirate, until Germany.
Under the theme 'Jogjakarta, A New Gateway to Your Journey,' JITM can open doors of information to tourism business users especially the potential buyers about Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA) in Kulon Progo, Edwin said. Information on the airport is attached in the JITM 2019 directory book.
Jogja International Travel Mart applies Business to Business (B2B) Networking Meeting concept that meets the buyers and service providers.
The potential customers can also join an educational trip with two options: visiting Borobudur Temple or joining Lava Tour Merapi. The Jogja International Travel Mart event will be closed by a dinner feast at the city's Fort Vredeburg.
