TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Lion Air Group’s parent company PT Lion Mentari Airlines is reportedly gearing up to sue Boeing.co if possible.
The low-cost carrier is currently awaiting the final ruling pertaining to the investigation of two crashes involving the aircraft.
Lion Air Group president director Edward Sirait stated the company would wait for the investigation’s final deliberation and focus on two matters regarding the legal case.
Firstly, he said, Lion Air Group will remain positive and believes that Boeing shares the weight with its customers. “Secondly, whatever the air carrier may be, with the situation in hand, will meet a basic provision and obligation that will be claimed in business terms. [We will not accept otherwise],” said Edward in Jakarta yesterday.
