TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Finance Minister Sri Mulyani has imposed sanctions on public accountant Kasner Sirumapea and the Tanubrata, Sutanto, Fahmi, Bambang & Partner public accountant office as the auditors of Garuda Indonesia’s financial reports that the government deemed had violated several regulations.
The Finance Ministry’s secretary-general, Hadiyanto, explained the sanctions were given following findings that Garuda Indonesia's annual reports of 2018—particularly pertaining to the income stemming from the cooperation with PT Mahata Aero Teknologi—were questionable and below accounting standards.
“Public accountant Kasner Sirumapea is handed a 12-month license suspension for a severe violation that potentially and significantly affects the opinions of the independent auditor’s report (LAI),” said Hadiyanto.
