TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - KPU chairman Arief Budiman said the elections committee will hold an open meeting on the official determination of the president-elect, now that the Constitutional Court or MK has given their final verdict of the votings dispute. The meeting will be held on Sunday, June 30, at the KPU Office in Menteng, Central Jakarta.
The elections committee plans to have the meeting start at 15:30 Jakarta time. If everything goes well, [the meeting] is expected to end at around 17:00," Arief said in a press conference at the KPU's Media Center last night, June 27.
Last night, the MK rejected all charges filed by plaintiffs Prabowo Subianto and Sandiaga Uno over the presidential elections result. MK chairman Anwar Usman read the court's ruling.
Arief said that Joko Widodo or Jokowi and Prabowo, as well as their running mates Ma'ruf Amin and Sandiaga, will be invited to the meeting. The elections committee will also give 20 invitations to each camp to bring members of their campaign teams.
Other institutions that will also be invited to the meeting include Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu), Election Organizing Board (DKPP), as well as the Ministry of State Secretary, the Supreme Court, the Constitutional Court, and the MPR and DPR.
