  • TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Agung Wirajaya, acting as PT Agung Podomoro Land's marketing director, said that the housing complex built on top of the Thamrin City rooftop has been included in the mall's original design.

Agung said that the design was the company's strategy of utilizing the limited available space in the middle of the city and to cater to the needs of people who aspires owning landed house in the middle of the capital.

"Because of the limited amount of space available in the heart of the city, added with the increasingly high costs made us optimize available spaces," said Agung on Wednesday, June 27, 2019.

The housing complex's design has been merged with Thamrin City's physical construction that consists of two apartment towers on top of the main building. The housing complex – Cosmo Park – is located among the towers.

"There are no more than 100 units. Maybe it's around 70 if I'm not mistaken. There aren't that many," said Agung.

Tempo visited Cosmo Park two days ago and felt as if the residential complex is not built over a mall rooftop. There are five blocks with complete asphalt roads and trees that replicates a true landed residential property.

The complex was constructed by PT Jakarta Realty, a product of merging PT Agung Podomoro Land and region-owned enterprise (BUMD) PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro).
