Jokowi Welcomes Argentina President at Bogor Palace

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo welcomed a state visit from the President of the Republic Argentina Mauricio Macri and First Lady Juliana Awada at Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java, Wednesday, June 26.
President Mauricio and Juliana arrived at Bogor palace at around 11 a.m. Their arrival was guarded by the cavalry unit of the Presidential Security Detail (Paspampres) donning traditional clothes. Dozens of children wearing traditional clothes while upholding Argentina flag also welcomed the entourage enthusiastically.
Indonesian President and First Lady Iriana then welcomed them in the main park before they headed to a venue for the state ceremony, while accompanying with the cannon's roar for 21 times and the two countries’ national anthem were playing.
After the welcoming ceremony, Argentina President and First Lady filled in the guest book. Jokowi and Iriana then accompanied them for the palace tour.
The next agenda is tete-a-tete or a private meeting, followed by a bilateral meeting and closed with a joint press conference.
Attending the bilateral meeting is by Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi, Agriculture Minister Amran Sulaiman, Trade Minister Enggartiasto Lukita, State Secretary Minister Pratikno, Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) head Rosan P. Roeslani, and the Indonesian Businessmen Association (Apindo) deputy head Shinta Widjaja Kamdani.
