Partnering with Garuda, Sriwijaya Air Records 85 Percent OTP

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Sriwijaya Air Group recorded an on-time performance (OTP) index of 83-85 percent throughout the 2019 Eid Homecoming period, which is an increase up to 15-20 percent compared to its previous record in 2018.
Sriwijaya Air Group president director Joseph A. Saul said the company underwent major changes and applied new systems and work culture since early 2019, especially since the company overhauled its board of directors.

“[We exceeded the 2018 Eid Homecoming] realization that only scored 65-70 percent [OTP],” said Joseph today.
Reports concluded that Sriwijaya’s improved performance started after it partnered with flag carrier Garuda Indonesia Group on operations .
Joseph added the peak season of the 2019 Eid Homecoming happened seven days before and after the Eid Day. Throughout May 2019, Sriwijaya Air’s OTP recorded a staggering 91 percent.

Sriwijaya, he said, had also step up its safety and security aspects through the partnership with PT Garuda Maintenance Facility (GMF) AeroAsia Tbk.
This performance index is in line with Garuda Indonesia’s sister company Citilink that also recorded a respectable OTP of 94.88 percent throughout the same period.
